Eddie Day Wells is a London based mixed media artist in the pop art tradition.
Wells' images are multilayered and manipulated photographs, the frames consist of reclaimed wood, iron, brick and resin. With original transport collectibles and model miniatures incorporated.
Wells' images are like a love letter to London, his images often included lyrics and musicians, they tell the stories of the East End from Jack the Ripper to the cable street riots, the 50's and swinging 60's as well as the good the bad and the ugly.
Wells often makes reference in his artists statements to his ADHD which was not diagnosed until his early forties. The death of his father acted as a focal point for his art concentrating the mind into artistic endeavours.
