Photographer and Digital Manipulator, Erik Johansson has been compared to a modern day Salvador Dali. In contrast to traditional photography he doesn't capture moments, he captures ideas with the help of his camera and imagination.
Realistic photos of impossible scenes. These pictures provide an escape for the mind, a chance to wonder. They are almost mindful as you have to keep looking and focusing on the images to try and wrk out the joins, they need attention and slowing down to take the time and savour the images is a good thing.
I love the complexity in his work, some images remind me of M. C. Escher with his mathematical line drawings. I'm also reminded of the artistic sensibilities of film makers like Tim Burton, capturing a piece of crazy.
