Street art, graphic design and sculpture feature heavily in Francois Bel's art.
I really like Bel's work with plastic / resin, you can interact with his work, the clear block allow you to lift, look and experience the art from a million different angles. The first piece that really caught my attention was an exploding spray paint can - capturing an explosion the energy and noise in a silent study really caused me to react.
He manages to capture moments in time in a clear resin block. I think looking at the pieces also slows time a bit.
I'm reminded of Cornelia Parker's exploding shed but his work retains all the elements of the original object.
