Marie-Ange Daudé is a French artist whose artwork often incorporates found or used materials which are transformed into new artistic pieces.
Daudé creates incredible portraits using feathers, the artist selects feathers to add levels of colour and shade to build up the images. The use of natural material gives the pictures a natural movement and the fact the feathers move in a breeze brings the images to life and mean they are always changing.
I really like the feather portraits series, unfortunately my french is a bit rusty now so most fo the information I have found about her has come via Google Translate and makes no sense at all so I am simply displaying something of beauty..
I think the medium is sometimes as important as the message and the recycling of materials to create something new is a concept which we should all take on board.
