Pedro Tapa, an illustrator from Manila, Philippines, stunning female portraits steeped in flowers. I'm reminded of mindfulness colouring books but with much more depth.
Illustrations of nature and human figures. he simplifies his works by utilising lines and contrasts and occasionally with a touch of colour, making the design elegant and sophisticated.
On a day when many around the world are making resolutions to be a bit more mindful Pedro Tapa's art is very apt. The images are beautifully realised, the illustrations of female faces and bodies are exact but eh flowers and flora have a more childlike quality, the fact the majority are not coloured means the images could be interacted with and coloured by the observer.
Pedro Tapa's work is relatively inexpensive and a great route into art. Simple but beautiful illustrations.
