Slinkachu has been “abandoning” his miniature people on the streets of cities around the world since 2006. His work embodies elements of street art, sculpture, installation art and photography and has been exhibited in galleries and museums globally.
Little People in the City book (Amazon)
I stumbled across a copy of Slinkachu's book Little People in the City many years ago when being dragged around the shops. I found the staging of the photos hilarious and also loved the fact that these pieces were made photographed and then left behind for people to find.
They are so small that people will walk right beside them and never notice - possibly a metaphor for how we as a society often are, headphones in faces buried in phone screens failing to see what is around us.
These little people often have more to say than big people.
